What’s the Difference Between HGV Class 1 and Class 2?

• HGV Class 2 (Category C): This licence allows you to drive rigid body vehicles over 3,500kg with a trailer up to 750kg. It’s ideal for local and regional deliveries, waste collection, and utility services.
• HGV Class 1 (Category C+E): This licence enables you to drive articulated (artic) lorries — large vehicles with detachable trailers — offering higher earning potential and long-distance haulage opportunities both in the UK and internationally.
